President Obama promised that we would all be required to serve our country in some way through his Civilian Corp that he claimed would be as well funded as the military. Soon to be ousted Corruptocrat Charlie Rangel introduced a bill into the House of Representatives on July 15th that makes that part of Obama’s agenda a possibility. It is formally named “Universal National Service Act.” The name itself should send shivers down your spine. When you realize that this bill would require every American to eventually serve in some way, it should leave you outraged.
The bill reads, “To require all persons in the United States between the ages of 18 and 42 to perform national service, either as a member of the uniformed services or in civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, to authorize the induction of persons in the uniformed services during wartime to meet end-strength requirements of the uniformed services, and for other purposes.” Sounds like the draft does it not? Only this mandatory service is not just about military service. Obviously not all people between 18 and 42 are fit to serve in the military. So this bill goes one step further by adding “civilian service.” How exactly will we meet this national service obligation? Sec. 102 states:
“(a) Obligation for Service- It is the obligation of every citizen of the United States, and every other person residing in the United States, who is between the ages of 18 and 42 to perform a period of national service as prescribed in this title unless exempted under the provisions of this title.
(b) Forms of National Service- The national service obligation under this title shall be performed either–
(1) as a member of an active or reserve component of the uniformed services; or
(2) in a civilian capacity that, as determined by the President, promotes the national defense, including national or community service and service related to homelandsecurity.”
So how long willthis service berequired? Sec. 104 reads, “(a) General Rule -Except as otherwise provided in this section, the period of national service performed by a personunder this title shall be two years.” Two years of required service! In the Home of the Free! This is outrageous! Want more outrage? Who is going to implement this service, decide how you serve and when? The King of course…er, President. Sec. 105 states:
“(a) In General- The President shall prescribe such regulations as are necessary to carry out this title.
(b) Matter To Be Covered byRegulations- Suchregulations shall include specification of the following:
(1) The types of civilian service that may be performed in order for a person to satisfythe person’s national service obligationunder this title.
(2)Standards for satisfactory performance of civilian service and of penalties for failure to perform civilian servicesatisfactorily.
(3) The manner in which persons shall be selected forinduction underthis title, including the manner in which those selected willbe notified of such selection
.
(4) All other administrative matters in connection with the inductionof personsunder this title and theregistration, examination, and classification ofsuch persons.
(5) A means to determinequestions or claims with respect to inclusion for, or exemption or deferment from induction under thistitle, including questions of conscientious objection.
(6) Standards for compensation and benefits for persons performing their national service obligation under this title throughcivilian service.
(7) Such other matters as the President determinesnecessary to carry out this title.”
There is the question as to whether this service will be “voluntary” or will one be paid for the service? I would assume that there will be no pay and they may tie this into Obama’s idea about paying for schooling or something. But think about this, can you work for two years without pay? There are no specifics on hours to be worked so will this be full-time? Will the government be covering the bills for these people? Meaning the tax payers will be covering their own mandatory slavery servitude. Can you say facism?

Our government run educational system has done a fine job of inverting, in the minds of many citizens, the relationship between the individual and their government. Our Declaration of Independence clearly spell out that it is “self-evident” that each sovereign individual possesses “unalienable Rights” including “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness“. These are inherent rights which we possess as part of our human nature, and are not some gift bestowed upon us by a benevolent state. The Declaration continues: “That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the consent of the governed“. Individuals are not duty-bound to serve the state; just the opposite! Government is created for one very explicit purpose, which is to serve the need to protect those rights possessed by every individual member of society — and nothing more. Period!
When some government bureaucrat proposes to force you, me, or anyone else, against our respective voluntary wills, to serve the government’s interests under direction of some state administrator, whether that be for an hour, a day, two years, or a lifetime, this is nothing less than slavery, and no amount of weasel words or Orwellian doublespeak will alter or hide this simple fact.
If you value your life and the freedom to decide how you wish to live it, then you should be alarmed that this bill is even being discussed in the halls of Congress by a body of elite members who have made it clear that they intend to be the masters, ruling over us and directing every aspect and decision affecting our lives. Do not wait until it is too late to fight back against this tyranny. Rise up today in protest over this abomination and work to insure that it never sees the light of day.
