I am laughing myself silly at the spin going on here. The fourteen Democrat cockroaches, also known as Senators, who scurried away to Illinois rather than take part in the democratic process are returning home today just in time for Wisconsin’s AFL-CIO’s large astroturf protests. It is being reported that:
The fourteen Wisconsin Democrats who have been on the lam for weeks are all returning to the state tonight — and will celebrate their return with a march together on the capitol on Saturday meant to signal that they fully intend to fight on, a state Senator has confirmed.
The 14 Dems will join together and walk to the capitol Saturday in what amounts to a celebration of their “homecoming,” Senator Chris Larson said in an interview a few moments ago.
The move is meant to signal that even if Governor Scott Walker was able to push through his proposal rolling back bargaining rights, the Democrats’ decision to return does not represent an acknowledgement of defeat. Instead, they’re returning home to join the battle to recall the Republicans who supported Walker.
Whoo hoo! Well, you losers go ahead and fight on. There is nothing you can do now. Governor Walker was actually willing to negotiate and was offering concessions, but the Democrats were having none of that. The Democrats want to thank the people of Wisconsin for their efforts. Let’s make something very clear. First of all, it is a proven fact that many of these demonstrators are union thugs bused in from outside of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin people spoke in November when they gave the state of Wisconsin to the Republicans who ran on a platform of reforming union collective bargaining to save the state from an economic implosion. They wanted this action. The recalls being called for by the union astroturf already occured in November as well. It was called an election. I seem to remember the President telling the Republicans, “I won.” Well Democrats, the Republicans won. Suck it up you babies!
