Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison has introduced an amendment as another option in the ongoing fight to stop the implementation of ObamaCare before it becomes so enmeshed that it is impossible to completely dismantle. This Amendment, No. 197, is titled the Save our States Act and has been attached to S.493, the Small Business Innovation Research Reauthorization Act. The Senate is currently considering the small business bill.
Sen. Hutchison’s amendment is a moratorium on any actions that would help implement ObamaCare until the courts are able to provide a final ruling on the constitutionality of ObamaCare. This moratorium includes any new regulations associated with ObamaCare as well. For the parts of ObamaCare already put into force, there is nothing this amendment can do.
