The Illustrious One is not going to be happy with this new deal the GOP is working up to raise the debt ceiling. The deal will not satisfy his selfish desire to not have to face down this battle once again before the election in 2012. Word around the beltway seems to indicate that the Democrats are not on board with this new deal either that should be put to paper by late this afternoon. My question is: Why is Speaker Boehner working up a new deal that does not seem to have Democrat support? We already have the anemic Cut the Crap and Balance. The Washington Examiner reports:
House Republicans are finishing work on a new proposal to resolve the standoff over the debt ceiling. The proposal, set to be finished and crafted into the form of a bill by Sunday, will be in two parts. The first will combine a short-term increase in the debt ceiling with spending cuts. The second will lay the groundwork for a longer-term increase in the debt ceiling coupled with far-reaching deficit reduction.
So far there does not appear to be any tax increases, which would definately indicate that this plan is going to go nowhere with the party that adores their tax increases. And I still wonder why an increase needs to be made to the debt ceiling if cuts are being made and if reform is started. There should be plenty of extra money to combine with our $200 billion in revenue every month to pay the bills. Sources also report that this deal was in the works before Boehner quit his talks with the White House. So I ask again why the House bothered with CCB?
There can be no doubt that D.C. is still completely irresponsible as evidenced with most everyone getting on board with raising the national credit card. I just hope that the GOP sticks to their guns and does not raise taxes and reforms the entitlements giving you and I control over our future. Meaning I want them to stop stealing from me for Social Security and MediCare that will not be there when I get to retire at the age of…80?

I think we should just become a communist country
why I have quit voting – not one leader in either party – in fact most are completely crazy – no ideas and dumba$$ voters who keep sending the same losers to DC year after year.
