Before anyone thinks I’m just going down some kind of fantastical road here, those are Ron Paul’s actual words, not my musings. Yes indeed folks, crazy Uncle Ron was in Iowa yesterday and according to the LA Times said, “”If I were an Iranian, I’d like to have a nuclear weapon, too, because you gain respect from them.” My question for Paul is, which Iranians? The ones who protested in the street for freedom from Ayatollah and Imadinahjacket’s rule like Nada? Or the Ayatollah, Imadinahjacket and the rest of the Islamists seeking the destruction of Israel and the formation of the Caliphate?
Listening to Ron Paul crow at a debate how Iran has a right to nuclear weapons is fun to Tweet about cause we all know it proves he is a complete nutjob, but what he has proclaimed here is something quite different. Why does a country gain respect for having nuclear weapons? Obviously, because you can obliterate nations with them. Paul understands the ability of these weapons to destroy and yet he is still able to shrug his shoulders and could care less if Iran had them. He thinks it is none of our business that Iran could bring about Nuclear Winter! This is much more than isolationism, this is irresponsibility and insanity. And this man wants to be leader of the free world!
Paul also said during his speech before 125, “I think we’re looking for trouble because we put these horrendous sanctions on Iran.” He claimed that despite United Nations reports declaring that Iran is enriching Uranium, that there is ”no evidence whatsoever” that Iran is doing any enrichment. He also declared that ”we always seem to have to have a country to bash.”
This man is not only a fool, but dangerous!

Ron Paul has fought against the rest of our government for straying from what made our country great. He has been ignored and harassed for this. In 1999 Ron Paul tried to stop the bad policies that led to the 2001 attack. This video will give you chills. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=XguvMUUtTtI
I’m thinking it’s time we start a fund to send Paul back to the planet he came from. Obviously the air on good old planet Earth is too much for him to handle.
I came across this site by accident and saw this article. Being a Paul fan, and knowing that, currently, there gay republicans are an extreme minority, I wanted to see what your opinions were on Paul. I have to say I am disappointed.
I have no problem some people rejects Paul and his philosophy, but your comments are hollow. Iran is no nest of angels, but I think what he says makes a lot of sense. The Iranians have had their government interfered with by western powers since 1950. If the situation was reversed, and Iran had done bad things to the US, the US government be just as belligerent and hateful. Whatever happened to the golden rule?
If you disagree, so be it, but to not even dissect Paul’s arguments and label him crazy only makes you look bad. You have like 3 paragraphs and not one real argument. He is a serious man with serious ideas, if he’s wrong, talk it out and prove it, don’t name call.
Nut = crazy, psychotic, out of one’s mind. I wasn’t name calling, I was describing Ron Paul exactly as I see him, a nut. If you think he makes sense in thinking that Iran should have nukes, then you are a nut as well. Iran is allied with our enemies around the world and once Iran has the capability to build a nuke, they will share information, material and weapons with those enemies. Some of whom are close enough to get those weapons to reach us. And Israel is our greatest ally in the world, so why would we allow a country that wants to eradicate them to obtain the means by which to do that? Go back to reading your Ron Paul anti-semitic newsletters – oh wait, that’s right, Paul is the first ever editor on the planet who has nothing to do with the material actually written in his newsletters.
